TRAINING CLASSES AND DESCRIPTIONS
“PUPPY & ME”
PRE – Puppy Pre-School 8-12 wks. (4 classes, 1 hour in length)
This puppy play group encourages proper socialization, and aids in the prevention of behavioral problems. Emphasis of this class will also include, knowledge of housebreaking methods, desensitization to handling and grooming, proper bite inhibition and confidence building.
Give your puppy the perfect head start by taking advantage of this critical stage of development!
“KINDER-PUP”
KIN - Puppy Kindergarten 3-5 mo. (4 classes, 1 hour in length)
This class emphasizes teaching proper manners and the fundamentals to basic obedience. Participants will be taught invaluable skills such as, loose leash walking, how to constructively burn off puppy energy, creating focus and attention, using positive rewards and puppy wellness. Schools In Session!
“MINGLE TIME”
SOC – Socialization 7 mo. – 2 ½ yrs. (3 classes, 1 hour in length)
This class is specifically designed to address common problems associated with under socialized dogs. Emphasis is on improving dog on dog social interactions, how to play properly, how to read cut off signals and to educate owners about canine body language and posturing.
This class is a must for all that frequent dog parks and those not yet ready for daycare.
BOB – Obedience / Basic & Manners (4 classes, 1 hour in length)
The 1st in the series of 3. This class teaches introduction to basic pet obedience theory and practical application. Participants will be instructed how to train their dog to the necessary commands of sit, down, stand, stay, come, leave it, place and heal. All skills will be taught on-leash utilizing both voice command and hand signals. Class will also address common behavioral issues such as jumping, pulling and chewing by employing counter-conditioning techniques.
IOB – Intermediate Obedience (4 classes, 1 hour in length)
The 2nd in the series of 3. Emphasis is on refinement of all handling skills taught in basic obedience and preparing your dog towards off-leash training. Skills taught in this class will include but not limited to, maintaining control from a distance, increasing duration of command, practical application of training and bridging multiple commands. In addition owners will be instructed on how to offer clear communication to better improve handler/dog relationships.

AOB – Advanced Obedience (4 classes, 1 hour in length)
The 3rd in the series of 3. This class will emphasize the mastery of obedience skills taught up to this point. Classes will be conducted off-leash and dogs will learn to discriminate against environmental distractions. Training methods will be customized to owners and their dog. Dog will be prepared for Canine Good Citizen and will receive obedience certification upon completion.
*pre-requisite – Intermediate Obedience
TAN – Tandem/Multiple Dogs (3 classes, 1 hour in length)
This class is for owners with 2 or more dogs. It is designed to aid handlers with multiple dogs in areas of difficulty such as communication, discrimination and technique. Skills taught will include but not limited to walking multiple dogs at once, tandem obedience and addressing behavioral issues.
CGC – Canine Good Citizen
This class is specifically designed to aid in the training of skills and exercises pertaining to the Canine Good Citizen certification.
PAG – Puppy Agility up to 1 yr. (1 class, 1 hour in length)
This is a non-competitive agility class. Designed strictly for confidence building and fun! The emphasis will be on the introduction to basic agility equipment and drive building. This is a high energy class, designed for high energy puppies!
AGL – Agility (1 class, 1 hour in length)
This is a non-competitive agility class for dogs over 1 yr of age. This class emphasizes motivational skills, confidence building and a constructive outlet for under-stimulated dogs. This class is for dogs with high motivational drive.
INB – In Board Training (2 weeks)
This is an exclusive comprehensive training program designed to meet the specific needs and goals of the client. All training will be performed by Eddie Panzano, Certified Pet Dog Trainer and Director of Training and Daycare. The program consists of a 2 week inboard stay at Chateau Poochie where our guest will receive multiple training sessions per day.
*All programs are personally customized, therefore the clientele must speak directly to the training director prior to enrolling to help determine what issues need to be addressed.
PRV – Private (TBD)
This is one on one training with client and their dog at Chateau Poochie. Client will meet directly with animal behaviorist or Certified Pet Dog Trainer and Director of Trainer and Daycare to deal with any and all behavioral and obedience issues.
